Traditional, Not Scientific
Janmakshar Matching is based on Jyotish (Vedic astrology), a traditional belief system practiced for generations across Indian communities. It is not a scientifically validated method for predicting relationship compatibility, marital happiness, or life outcomes. We present it as a cultural and traditional tool, not as established science.
Results Are Estimates
Our calculations use standard astronomical methods — sidereal positions with the Lahiri Ayanamsa — to determine Rashi, Nakshatra, and the resulting Guna score. As with any astrological calculator, results are estimates based on the birth details provided. For decisions of real significance, particularly around a wedding date or ceremony, we recommend having your charts verified by a qualified Jyotish practitioner — especially where the exact birth time is uncertain, or a Nakshatra/Pada falls close to a boundary.
The Manglik Indicator Is Simplified
The Manglik (Mangal Dosha) indicator on our result page uses a simplified calculation and does not yet apply the full set of traditional cancellation (Bhanga) rules that a professional analysis would consider. Treat it as a starting indicator, not a final determination.
Not a Substitute for Professional Advice
Nothing on Janmakshar should be treated as medical, legal, financial, or psychological advice. If you or someone you know is facing a difficult decision related to marriage, family pressure, or emotional wellbeing, please speak with a qualified professional or a trusted support service, in addition to any traditional guidance you seek.
No Guaranteed Outcomes
A high Guna score does not guarantee a happy marriage, and a low score does not guarantee an unhappy one. Compatibility in a real relationship depends on countless factors beyond any astrological calculation — communication, values, circumstances, and effort among them.
